DEEP Group
DEEP stands for Dementia Engagement and Empowerment Project and is an initiative set up by Innovations in Dementia together with the Mental Health Foundation and the Joseph Rowntree Foundation. DEEP seeks to empower people living with dementia to work collectively to change services and policies that affect their lives. We have a DEEP group in Worcestershire for younger people with dementia and family members, called Dementia Voices Worcestershire. This leaflet tells you about the group and what they are trying to achieve.
In recent months the group have been involved in;
- Influencing the development of the tender for the one to one service
- Presentations at conferences and teaching staff about living with young onset dementia
- Supporting the evaluation of the DEEP network
- Supporting the development of a website for people living with young onset dementia
